So, I failed.  I didn't get too far into Insanity, maybe 3 weeks and stopped.  It started when my birthday rolled around and I went out for a unhealthy meal at a local pizza place.  That was the beginning of me quitting insanity :( However, I'm going to start back and really stick with it.  I must admit the first 3 weeks was amazingly hard and intense.  I like to run and exercise, but Insanity didn't compare.  I was constantly sweating, but I started to noticed my  body becoming more fit.  Will update again soon on the next bout of Insanity.

Day 1: Fitness Test

So I finally received my Insanity DVD's and I was eager to start.  I had done all the research, received tons of motivation from websites, blogs, etc and I was ready.  Not to mention I had to take my before pictures that I wasn't too happy about.

Holy hell, was I in for a treat.  The fitness test was not easy.  I struggled through each set/rep whatever it's called.  I was a little ashamed to write the numbers done of each thing that I could do.  I thought I would be able to keep up the cardio pretty good since I was running up to 9-10 miles without any breaks. But no.  There was times where I thought I was literally going to throw up.  I had to actually move my bedroom trash can to near where I was working out.  I thought I was going to puke.  Wow.  I haven't felt like this since I ran my first couple miles a year ago.  But I didn't end up throwing up.  Thank god.  That would have been embarrassing to admit to my boyfriend that I threw up in the middle of Day 1 fitness test.  But I got through it and I'm pretty excited to see the results of Day 15 when I'm retaking my fitness test.  Cross my fingers, I hope it's pretty good results.

2012: New Year All Year

So, it's 2012 and it's only human to have a resolution of some sort.  Mine isn't too much different then any other persons.  I have declared 2012 to be the year of "new" things.  Pretty much it's started off pretty well.  I'm back to college, starting dance classes (just for fun), participating in my first marathon, taking the polar plunge, just all kinds of things that I have had interest in, but haven't taken the next step do do anything about it.  It was always just a thought.  But probably one of the most challenging things I have done is ordered the DVD set Insanity.  If you're not too familiar, it's a 60 day insane workout pretty much guaranteed to transform your body in 60 days.  I'm taking the challenge..this is a chronicle of the next 60 days..
